Extract selected pages from a PDF

Extracting pages is useful when a long report contains a short section you need to send, or when a scanned file includes unrelated documents. Enter page numbers as counted in your PDF viewer, starting at 1. Printed page labels inside a document can be different from these file positions.

Example: split a PDF by page range

For a ten-page file, entering 1, 4-6 keeps the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth pages in one new PDF. Entering 6, 1-2 puts page 6 first. Repeated page numbers are included once. Leave the field blank to copy all pages.

The result is one PDF containing your selected pages, rather than a ZIP of individual files. Choose a PDF of up to 20 MB and 500 pages. Forms, bookmarks, attachments, and digital signatures may not be preserved. Extraction does not remove sensitive material from pages you keep.

Use files you own or have permission to edit. Your device needs enough free memory to process them; if a browser tab struggles, try fewer or smaller files.

    PDF splitting questions

Can I save each section separately?

Yes. Extract the first range and download it, then change the range and extract again. The source remains selected until you clear it.

Can I use descending ranges like 5-2?

No. Use ascending ranges such as 2-5. You can reorder groups with an entry such as 5, 2-4.

    Will the original PDF change?

No. A new document is created in the browser. Your original file is unchanged.
