Compare text by line or word
Line comparison helps review paragraphs and code changes. Word comparison highlights smaller edits while preserving spaces in the displayed result. Added text uses a plus marker and green background; removed text uses a minus marker and red background, so the comparison does not rely on colour alone.
Limits and supported inputs
Compare up to 200,000 characters combined. Extremely different or long inputs may need smaller sections. The downloadable result is a marked text comparison, not a patch file for Git. No supplied HTML or JavaScript is rendered or executed.
Keep a copy of your original input and review the result before sharing it. Clearing the tool or leaving the page releases its working data; downloaded files remain on your device.
